Paul is originally from New Zealand and has a MCA Master 3000 Tons (class 4) and a wide experience in both sailing and motor superyachts including Imagine B - 34m M/Y Dubois and Bushido – 38m S/Y Modern Classic. He has been the captain of M/Y Quaranta since her launch and cruised the yacht with owners and guests on the Turkish Riviera last summer. Paul has a good understanding of what safety on a superyacht means and is keen to offer his guests a wonderful cruising experience.
CHIEF STEWARD: Richard Cornish
Richard is from New Zealand and has 9 years’ experience in Food and Beverage operations and Silver Service (Cunard Line, Queen Elizabeth 2 and Queen Victoria). He has had extensive sea time, including a hundred transatatlantic He has also been Steward on board a 45m Sailing Yacht for more than 3 years.
Richard has recently been employed as Chief Steward on board M/V SAMAX, 55m Feadship in the Med and on board S/Y TIMONEER, 45m Dubois both in the Med and in the Caribbean.
SECOND CHIEF STEWARDESS: Eva Oplustilova
Eva is a motivated, ambitious and passionate stewardess. Having worked in yachting industry since 2013, her goal has always been to become a complete professional. Eva has a positive and friendly personality. With such an approach, she can motivate people, solve problems with cool head or help to overcome hard times. She isn’t afraid to work hard and likes to do so with a good mood and smile. She is a great support of the crew and can work in team as well as on her own. Eva learns fast and knows how to adapt herself to new situations. With good communication abilities, she is reliable, direct and honest and never quits before the end of the season. She previously worked as sole stewardess on board M/Y ALEXANDRIA – 33m Ocea in West Med and Spain and on M/Y 2B– 28m Bandido.
CHEF: Barbara Ginestra
Barbara is a passionate and versatile chef with 17 years of experience in the superyacht industry. She worked on both sailing and motor yachts, private and charter, in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and on Atlantic crossings. Constantly. She worked on boats up to 52m and cooked for up to 14 guests and 30 crew. She worked in the galley and the interior with very high profile guests and multinational crew. Barbara has a warm personality, excellent communication skills and inside-out knowledge of the industry. She likes cooking Mediterranean but also Thai, Asian, Mexican and Fusion and has also a good knowledge of vegetarian, with some skills of vegan.
CHIEF OFFICER: Pauline Bonnici
Pauline is from the Nautical Island of Malta and holds an unlimited Chief Officer certificate and has 10 years’ experience at sea in the commercial industry. She is now looking forward to transferring her skills to the yachting industry. Her experience has spanned container ship, square rigger passenger ship, ferry catamarans, Ro-Ro ferry Catamaran and Search and rescue. Pauline first started to discover her passion for the Sea while Driving tenders and 6m Speed boats for daily charters to Comino or Gozo and giving jet-ski, crazy sofa and banana rides.
CHIEF ENGINEER: Krzysztof Piotrowski
Kris was born in Poland, but speaks as well English, Italian and Russian.
He is a qualified Chief Engineer and has been working in the yachting industry for more than 20 years. He has a cruising experience in the Mediterranean Sea, United States, West Indies, China, Thailand, Pacific Ocean. He previously worked on M/V SANTANDREA – 30m Converted Tug Boat, M/Y NORTHERN LIGHT – 46m Feadship, M/Y Roma – 62m Viareggio Super Yachts, M/Y Amante - 45m Royal Denship.
ROTATION ENGINEER: Gabriel Pisica
Gabriel was born in Romania, but speaks as well English and Italian.
He is a qualified Chief Engineer, having spent more than twenty years as Engineer on board commercial, cruise ship and yachts. Gabriel is a friendly person with a positive attitude. He is energetic, motivated and hard worker with a strong background. He is quite flexible and will take initiatives to assist with other duties and enjoys working as a team towards a common goal. Gabriel has cruised in the Med, US, West Indies, China, Thailand and Pacific Ocean. He previously worked on Maryah, New Sunrise, and also in carnival cruise lines.
