Filicudi Island lies nearly 10 miles of Salina. It is a high conical peak connected by an isthmus to Capo Graziano. The latter looks like an offlying islet from some angels. The island was at one time well populated and cultivated, but is now only cultivated in parts. It is surrounded by above and below-water rocks, the most striking and conspicuous being La Canna off the north-west coast.
